The BA15D bulb with a cylindrical lens tapering upwards is used in automation to illuminate signal towers, which use light signals to indicate from a distance the operating status of the machine they are located at. The number and arrangement of the LED chips used and the shape of the lens allow for 360° omnidirectional light, ideal for illuminating the lampshade.
